Here we are having lunch at the famous chill n grill.
We took a tour of the Granin Building. This is the building where the first Book of Mormon was printed. Katie was pretty excited to see original artwork of pictures we see all the time in manuals and at church. This is the one of the angel Moroni appearing to Joseph at age 17 in his log home.
Here we are in front of the Palmyra temple. All of us except David got to go and do temple work. What a wonderful day!
Here we are in the upstairs of the log home. This is the place depicted in the painting. The feeling in these places is that you are on sacred ground and that miracles took place here that affected the world.
Here is the field at the back of the Smith property on the way to the sacred grove. It is truly a beautiful place. "Oh how lovely was the morning..."
What a touching experience to be in all of these sacred places. The spirit is strong, the feeling serene, and testimony strengthened.
We found a little friend in the grove.
Every night after the pageant and the devotional Zion's camp has munch and mingle. We were in charge Monday night. We got fudge bars for 300!

What an amazing experience you guys are having! I loved the pictures of the sacred grove. I really want to get my family back there. I don't see that we have a chance to convince Jim of "paying to perform" at Cumorah especially after seeing what Nelson has to wear! Kirstin, I was quite impressed with your long locks- not too bad as a brunette/blond. We miss you on our morning jogs and the hill. Maybe all that dancing will get you in better shape then all of us.
