Storybook Reception

Stephanie's reception was held at a fabulous site just down the hill from our house. The owners of the property are neighbors of Chuck and Oranee's and they graciously offered it for Stephanie. There is a beautiful drive over a bridge into the yard area. The bridge crosses a pond with fountains and Koi. There's an enclosed gazebo that the caterers used to prep the food in and little pathways and a big firepit to sit around.

the gathering area. Lisa did a phenomenal job planning and gathering the most wonderful things to make this reception just like a storybook fairy tale.
Nelson helping himself at the candy shoppe. They had hot food and servers scooping up BYU dairy ice-cream cones also.
Beautiful wedding party...
hamming it up!
I love this picture of the Bills family...notice the cardboard brother with the missionary tag? He gets home next year but made it for the pictures!
Stephanie with her mom, grandmas and aunts.
David was at scout camp all week and arrived just in time to enjoy the big party.
The inside of the tent. It turned out so fun! We made all of those pom-poms at lake powell this year while watching movies. Stephanie washed, dyed and dried 6000 coffee filters. Then we made an assembly line and stacked and stapled them. Later at home, she strung and puffed them up, don't they look cute?
Nelson's cousins Mark and Kim, his uncle Mel, Aunt Donna, Uncle Monte and Aunt Shirley.
Josh and Caroline having some dessert.
Josh and David at the punch bowl.
Cutting the cake!
Tossing the bouquet, Oranee is trying to escape the mad rush of young girls!
Dancing!

The getaway car...more pompoms!
At the end of the evening, we all gathered along the drive with lit sparklers for the big send-off.

The hosts of the property lit aerial fireworks also to celebrate as they were coming down the drive. It was such a nice day and couldn't have been more perfect.
