David got rockets for Christmas last year. It is much more enjoyable launching them in the sun rather than the snow (pics in the Dec 29 09 post). We put in some seriously pumped engines this time and wow, they went soooo high! There was a slight breeze and we thought we had calculated which direction to send up the rocket...almost. The rocket landed on someone's roof. Luckily the kids started running when they saw it wasn't coming down where we wanted it and saw where it landed. The people were home and let them get a ladder and climb up to get it. Ha! It was pretty funny!
These are the fields that David plays soccer on in the fall! They are perfect for this - big open spaces of grass and not too many trees. Does Katie look cold? She came from work as a lifeguard and was maybe still a bit wet.
