This year Katie has had a calling as a youth counselor in the Special Needs Mutual. The youth are from the entire Utah County area and meet each Thursday night at a church here in Orem. Katie has so enjoyed working with these wonderful people. She loves them so much and she looks forward to being with them every week. They have been working on a roadshow with a mother goose theme. Katie was chosen to be mother goose and MC the roadshow. The kids did nursery rhyme skits and did a fantastic job. She stole the show as mother goose, filling in during dead spots, sprucing up the script, and highlighting performers. Here she is on the stage with the adult leaders that night.
Katie has made a lot of lifelong friends in this calling. This is Carl. He has asked Katie, along with a lot of other girls, to marry him several times. I think she finally said yes so now that's settled.
